Healthcare constraints

EU policy frame: sensitive categories are restricted, person-level health segments are out. Contextual and area-level routes stay open, legal review required per campaign.

Limitations

  • The data marketplace is narrower than on the US platforms.
  • Retail and commerce signals are largely absent.
  • CTV inventory in DACH is growing but trails TTD and DV360.

A fit when

  • Setups that list EU vendorship and data sovereignty as procurement criteria.
  • Teams that want to analyse logs in their own warehouse.
  • DOOH and display plans built on area logic.

Not a fit when

  • Your planning depends on a broad third-party marketplace.
  • Retail signals are the core argument; then Amazon DSP.

Privacy fit and data routes

Adform positions itself as a European vendor with EU infrastructure, which simplifies procurement processes that carry data-sovereignty criteria. ID Fusion combines first-party IDs with contextual signals; as everywhere, the privacy fit hangs on the consent setup in front, and vendor domicile replaces no legal review. Area segments run without personal identifiers through geo targeting and deals.

Third-party data and cost

The marketplace covers the common European data providers but stays narrower than the US offering at The Trade Desk. In return, data CPMs are itemised per segment and total costs stay traceable. For DACH plans the selection is often enough; for global setups, rarely.

Measurement, clean room and log-level

Log-level export is the differentiator: impression and click logs land in your own warehouse, so attribution and reach analyses run independently of platform reports. A dedicated clean room in the ADH or AMC mould does not exist; for partnership analyses that is the trade-off.

Implementation

Adform tracking points plus server-side delivery from the shared event stream, deals and PMPs handled directly in the seat. Put the log export into the pipeline from day one; retrofitting it leaves you without history.

Preparing AreaSignal for Adform review

AreaSignal is in development and market-entry phase. First integrations are coming soon. For planning and integration conversations, AreaSignal delivers geo segments with geography lists, scores, confidence, exclusion flags and exports. Context: DSP comparison.

Assumptions behind the verdict

  • DACH campaigns under GDPR constraints.
  • A warehouse or BI setup that can consume log data.
