AreaSignal: Geo Audience Segments for Programmatic Buying

AreaSignal builds geo segments for targeting from aggregated, area-level data. A score describes an area, never a person.

What AreaSignal does

AreaSignal rates geographic units such as postal codes, regions or supported area levels by campaign relevance. Public, statistical, research-based and modeled area data turns into prioritized lists carrying a score, an index, a confidence value and the signals that explain them.

No MAIDs. No cookies. No hashed emails. No household IDs. No individual movement profiles.

Segment names describe geographies: areas with high EV adoption propensity, postal codes with strong family-travel signals, or regions that over-index for premium grocery.

Geo segments for targeting and exports

  1. Segment. Segment definition, country, area level and geography list are fixed and versioned.
  2. Scores. Score, national index, percentile, rank and confidence value ship per area.
  3. Export. CSV, GeoJSON, S3 or secure download links carry the data into planning, targeting setup and tests.

    Does AreaSignal contain personal data?

    No. AreaSignal works with aggregated area signals. There are no person or device profiles, aggregation thresholds prevent inference about individuals, and re-identification is excluded contractually and technically.

    Is AreaSignal a consulting service?

    No, it is a data product of Datascale One GmbH: defined geo segments, fixed export formats and documented methodology. Pilot support can come on top, but it is not the product.

    Does AreaSignal replace the legal review of a campaign?

    No. The architecture works without personal identifiers, and methodology and limits are documented. The legal assessment of the specific use stays with the buyer.

    Is AreaSignal already available in DSPs?

    AreaSignal is in development and market-entry phase. First integrations are coming soon. The early product state delivers geo segments with scores and direct exports for planning, targeting setup and tests.
